Quality care for mother and child, sensitivity to the needs of the family and a state-of-art medical environment are among the goals of the Family Birth Center. A relationship with the Family Birth Center begins with your physician. He or she has chosen this Hospital on your behalf. Your physician's concern for your care, and that of your baby, is reflected in our modern facility. Complementing the relationship with your physician, we urge expectant parents to participate in MHSC childbirth education classes and other educational programs designed to help you prepare for the great adventure of parenthood.
Birthing Suites
The perfect atmosphere for a relaxed, enjoyable and intimate birth can be part of your maternity experience. The Family Birth Center at The Memorial Hospital of Salem County offers families alternative delivery methods which include their own personalized birth plans.
Our Birthing Suites have been lovingly outfitted to feel as home-like as possible. Wall coverings, curtains and bedclothes were chosen to be comforting influences. The suites welcome parents to a positive experience.
For most parents, labor, delivery and recovery take place in the comfortable setting of the Birthing Suite. Behind handsome cabinetry, each room is supplied unobtrusively with all the necessary equipment required during a normal birth.
If necessary, each suite can immediately become a sophisticated medical monitoring unit. And should you require a Cesarean delivery, we can perform the procedure right in the Family Birth Center.
