Congratulations to Brian McCarthy, Director, Information Systems, recently named the 2009 Non-Clinical Manager of the Year for The Memorial Hospital of Salem County.
“Brian always demonstrates a positive attitude,” said James L. Angle, Chief Executive Officer, MHSC. “He has a strong work ethic, is very knowledgeable, and is committed to doing what is right for the organization.”
It couldn’t have gone to a more deserving employee, according to his longtime colleague and IS staff member Burry Timberman.
“The first five years I worked one or two days a week as a contractor for Brian and the past eight years as a full-time employee,” said Mr. Timberman.
In his 13 years, Mr. McCarthy has managed many new technologies and systems that have come online – the installation of the PACS system; the Dictaphone Powerscribe and Vianeta dictation systems; numerous computer infrastructure and security updates; updates to Kronos and replacement of timeclocks as well as server upgrades to Lotus Notes and Novell, to name a few.
Mr. McCarthy is married and has three children, ages 19 (in college),
17 and 14. He lives in Washington Twp, N.J.
